Now on to a fun unit and my dark furies for my coils of the hydra unit 😀

Time for a bit of change
And with a game in two days it's time to build some assault marines as I wanted to run a fast coils of the hydra list with the random squad of dark furies i bought when I was looking at a Loyist army if my alpha legion were ever full decided to be traitors
So I've sent the whole evening drilling and pinning the arms of the assault marines so hoping to get all ten sets done by the end of the night

Nice progress today and trying to cut down the 28 legs I have
Today was mainly about fixing the pipes in to culvarian squad which was a real pain
And I broke one :(


Also kicked out 5 auto cannons to take the total number I have to ten
And lastly was the crew for the quad motar I have
I didn't use the bodies you get in the box as I have other plans for those
So on with normal legs, alpha legion torso and shoulder pads and I think they look better

Made some great progress tonight and smashed out
1. A random Sergeant for a tactical squad with a lightening claw
2. A Tactical support squad with Flamers
3. A 5 man heavy weapons squad with volkite culvarians

Hobby progress 27th March 2017

Got the guardsmen I've been working on finished this morning after I left the nuln oil wash on the base to dry over night and then just lightly dry brushed the dawnstone to give the astrogranite bigger pieces to pop more  Seriously thinking when I get some more time in May, to build another squad and a commmand squad to see how many I can paint as there are a few more in my collection to do

After their amazing display in the game this weekend the guardsmen I included in the castalan list because I had an extra 90 points to spend, get finished Well nearly just waiting for the Astro granite to dry and then a little ink and dry brush 

Game day 24th March 2017

Completely different army this time and a castallans list from the fall of Cadia second book With two knights  Against a super grey knight death star army with not a lot else apart from two dreadknights and a strike squad  And mid game  Was spoils of war where you take the objectives  I had a lot of objective secure units due to cortiz and 3 land speeder storms means I can grab objectives that are at distance from me  Result was a tabling turn 5 with the score at 18-7 to me

Game day 23rd March 2017

Great game against a very tough army consisting of 28 individual units with 18 exalted Flamers and then lots of beasts of nurgle running around  Took a white scars bike list at 1500 points The hunting force formation  Librarian conclave  Storm bringer squadron as the aux choice  Still need so much painting to do, but slowly getting there  Photo from towards the end of the game  Was close but a small white scars win due to a few multi charges and the daemons not standing up to the two strength 5 hammer of wrath hits per bike

Game day tomorrow for my Alpha legion so some last minute building  A B@C dreadnought  A few snips and 1 1/2 kits become 1 new dreadnought  Still waiting on magnets for the other ones but he's going to do well tomorrow I hope

Built some guardsmen tonight to fit in the a Castallans army list as I'm hoping they will not get much attention until someone realises they have BS4 with 3 meltaguns in the squad  No idea on a paint scheme yet
