Game day 5th June 2017 + lists

I'm really happy with 8th and yes I admit I was wrong to be worried, but wasn't everyone? At some point?

Played two games today against two good people

First game my marines and a balanced list, I actually took a whirlwind, can't remember the last time I did that. Went against a deep strike heavy blood angels
Went right down to the last shot of the game where he killed my last remaining scout holding the objective in his deployment zone
- game was secure and control mission -

Second game was a little better and a solid win for the eldar against a good strong ad mech list
It was just the point of keeping just out of range of his guns and scouting around the edge of the board to grab the objectives at the end of the game
Eldar losing the jet bike turbo boast has hurt the way I play the army but it's made it better and a lot more thinking involved
Also another thing I found is battle focus is amazing with things like fire dragons


But now I need some guardians as jet bikes are no longer troops

Flyers starting on the board turn 1 is also good

Game day 23rd March 2017

Great game against a very tough army consisting of 28 individual units with 18 exalted Flamers and then lots of beasts of nurgle running around  Took a white scars bike list at 1500 points The hunting force formation  Librarian conclave  Storm bringer squadron as the aux choice  Still need so much painting to do, but slowly getting there  Photo from towards the end of the game  Was close but a small white scars win due to a few multi charges and the daemons not standing up to the two strength 5 hammer of wrath hits per bike

Hobby progress 11th December 2016

Armoured support now in the form of 3 hunter/stalkers which my wife and I started painting tonight

Bit busy the new few days but let's see how they get one 

In the background is a lovely mk4 forgeworld techmarine who's waiting to join the fight

Adding some heavy weapons to my white scars tonight while I try to avoid watching xfactor

This have been in my painting "inbox" for a while to finish 

Will be good to get them on the table top and could be used in a skyhammer annihilation formation but I'm not sure on how to run them yet

Hobby progress 7th December 2016

Managed to get the rhinos finished off and ready for spraying but it's currently -10 c outside so I think it's going to have to wait

Still got a few more boxes to be getting through and actually making what I have to clear the back log as I'm putting off painting 60 bikes so much

Nice bit of hobby progress today, I've had two rhinos that have been sat in a box for far too long, plus I'm extending my White Scars battle company new year so it was about time they got out and joined the fight

Current projects

Current projects I'm working on:

1. White Scars - currently around 4,000 points
2. Alpha Legion (30K) - I have everything I need for this army so really need to start building, and then decide which side to fight on 😃
3. Eldar - finished the army and had it pro painted - photos to follow
4. Deathwatch - small force, well around 2,000 points of what started as a smalled allied force but has come around to a full black spear strike force
5.  Project 1X1 - working on this for a while, currently away getting painted
