Progress Astral Sons - October 2017

Progress has been slightly slow with this army but I believe I'm working in the right movement, forward and to fully painted to about 3,000 points where I've taken my time with them

Ironclad Dreadnought

Hoping to get one of these type of updated done for each army every two months so i know where im standing as i really need to start getting organised, for this I have found that using a Kanban board really helps, setting up each unit as a task

looks something like this when finished, the board, not the army. That is going to take a little longer

Astral Sons Part 12

Continuing on from the "random stuff found in my army storage area" the Astral Sons welcome an iron clad dreadnought to the army

Currently at the 80% stage but I'm happy how it's going and should be fun to use and surprise my normal opponent

Astral Sons part 11

Big week for the new chapter and new Recuitment progress in the form of an eBay rescue project and twelve scout bikes that have been in my box for long time

Really pleased how these came out, amazing what happens when you take your time and paint slowly

After getting these out I have enough for two squads arms each squad with 3 granade launchers each squad.
I think they will do well and add a bit of mobility to the army for objective grabbing

Astral Sons part 10

Still doing a little bit every day on the big tank and the captain in sexy Gravis armour

Astral Sons Part 9

Making good progress on the normal primaris marines getting three colours down, think I prefer now the grey under coat

Astral Sons part 8

Some good progress now the X Factor is back on and it distracts my wife from the amount of time I'm doing hobby 😋
Cracking out the Intercessors

Astral Sons part 7

Really loving the size of this model, was good and easy to put together, having a little break from the dreadnought so putting down the base colours while watching a bit of table top Tactics on demand

Really enjoy this channel due the massive in depth level they go into

Astral Sons part 6

Really like how this model went together

Few more bits and then some dead stuff on the base and on to something bigger still

Astral Sons pt 5

Completed while precipitating in a great goggle hobby hangout with the guys and fellow listeners from the adeptus terra podcast

Moved onto a slightly larger model now

Was a bit of a pain to put together but ended up ok, it's really good you get both little pieces so you can make each of the main gun

Astral Sons pt4

And now the big guns come out

Lovely model to put together if you don't include the little pistons on the legs that are a pain if you don't read through the instruction book first or watch the Warhammer tv video
Few little bits to finish and then will under coat both the dreadnought and repulsor later tomorrow, when the weathers more drier

Astral Sons pt3

So from a single guy test model to now jumping right in with the biggest new model

Went with not glueing to fully together so I can spray the main part of it white and the under side anti grav plates black to give them more of a metallic look

Gone with the lascannons and lastalon load out as it's going to be my main source of anti tank weapon at the moment as I'm light on landraiders

Astral Sons pt1- Birth of a primaris chapter

Managed to get hold of the good half of the dark imperium box set and thought it's time for a change from painting white scars
So here is the birth of the Astral Sons
Long way to go but I'm ready for the journey
I've learnt a lot painting wise of the last year and hope to put it to some good use
